History
One of the last planets to be colonized when the Imperium reached out into the Sub Sector of space, it has since become the traditional seat of power within the Sector.

The purple atmosphere was at first glance taken as an indicator of a highly inhospitable planet, that would require extensive and possibly fruitless terraforming, thus relegating it to last on a long list of planets to 'explore.'

The purple atmosphere is an unusual by product of the natural flora of the planet which produce spores that float into the upper atmosphere where they react with the ozone, enabling the spores to pollonate eachother and additionaly create the pink and purple gas which colours the atmosphere thusly.

Zionse is niether a particularly large planet, nor one rich in natural materials, it is however situated perfectly between several natural 'calm' spots within warp making it a perfect way point within the subsector. This had two ramifications, firstly it made the planet a perfect trade point for importation and exportation and secondly made it a perfect place for a Govenor to 'overlook' the entire Sector.
